Hi from 1066 – Medieval Mosaic
A nice busy day at the exhibition with lots of people visiting us. Alex and Janice from Kent arrived today which is a real thrill. We house sat for them early this year and they made a special trip up from Kent to visit the exhibition. It was lovely to see them again. Unfortunately, they didn’t bring Max as it was a bit too long a trip for him. We had a lovely visit with them. It was good to catch up with them. We are also very grateful to Andy Webb, the verger at the Burford Church for all his help in putting on our exhibition. He found us a venue and also organised accommodation for us from the congregation of the church. Special thanks to Ian and Christine Brown, Chris and Suzanne Naylor and Charmaine Cole for offering us accommodation during our stay in Burford. Without their help, we would not have been able to hold our exhibition. Thank you also to the James Pilgrim and Sandi Kaaber from the Burford Boarding School for offering us the refectory to house the Medieval Mosaic. It was the perfect sized room and we loved how it looked in there. Thank you also to the ladies at the information centre who told so many visitors about the exhibition and helped it to be a success. Lastly, thank you to all the people of Burford and surrounding areas for their enthusiasm and word of mouth advertising. Many people came more than once and some people even came four times with different friends and family each time.
