May 11 – 1066 visit Ashprington

St David's church

Hi from 1066 – Medieval Mosaic

Today we had a meeting with our web designer which was interesting and inspiring. We are starting to take lessons in Word Press. It is a bit of a learning curve but I am sure we will master it. We came away very enthusiastic and we are looking forward to a new web site. As soon as we got back to the house I started writing blogs and fitting photos. I wish we had done this all along as we intended but at least we have Mike’s photo blog to go by. I decided to start from the beginning of May 2017 and work forward and then go back to the beginning to eventually have the whole year completed. It is quite a task but allows us to look back on a fantastic year.

We were only able to find one cache today and we visited one church, St David’s church in Ashprington. It has a beautiful pulpit, a Norman font, some monumental brasses and monuments to Sir John Kelland of Painsford.
